Shaktiman SFB400 Fertilizer Broadcaster Price October 2026
The Shaktiman SFB400 is a square-hopper, single-disc broadcaster for granular or crystalline fertilizer. Indian listings also use SSFB 400; treat that spelling as a purchasing cross-check, not a different machine. The current linked brochure names SFB400 and specifies a 400-litre hopper.
Capacity is volume, not fertilizer mass
The brochure gives 120 kg machine weight excluding PTO, Category II linkage and a 540 rpm PTO input. The required tractor-power range is 40–50 HP; the adjacent kW entry is not a separate PTO-horsepower measurement. Do not turn 400 litres into 400 kg: the loaded mass depends on the actual material and permitted loading. Ask the dealer to check the complete loaded attachment, shaft installation and tractor balance.
A wide throw still needs a pattern test
Shaktiman advertises a spreading width of 12–14 m. That is not automatic permission to drive adjacent passes 14 m apart. Fertilizer reaching the outer edge may be much thinner than the centre deposit. Establish effective pass spacing with the supplied material and approved calibration procedure, then check kilograms per hectare. A driver-seat control lever helps shut off delivery, but it cannot correct poor overlap or a changed fertilizer blend.
A broadcaster suits a job that calls for surface distribution. It does not place fertilizer at a controlled depth beside seed like a suitable drill. On 16 October 2026, TractorKarvan lists SSFB 400 from ₹52,000. This is an indicative India-wide portal starting price, with no named district and no clear ex-showroom/on-road breakdown on that model listing. It is a budget reference, not a delivered quote. Confirm the SFB400/SSFB400 nameplate, PTO shaft, taxes, freight and installation in a dated local offer.
