Fieldking FKR-5 Ripper Price October 2026

The Fieldking FKR-5 is a five-tine ripper with a published working width of 1810 mm. It offers a different layout from a single-tine subsoiler: several tines work across a wider strip, with an optional crumbler behind them. Its purpose is loosening soil rather than producing a fine seedbed by powered rotary cutting.

Keep depth, drive and configuration separate

Both the domestic brochure and current manufacturer table give a maximum working depth of 40 cm. An Indian price portal labels that value as 40 mm; this page follows the manufacturer's centimetre unit. Maximum depth is a machine limit, not an instruction to rip every field that deeply.

Fieldking distinguishes 55–60 HP for a 4WD tractor and 60–65 HP for 2WD. These are tractor-power recommendations, not measured PTO requirements or guarantees of performance in your soil. The five-tine model has 250–300 mm tine spacing. Its 2150 mm overall width is larger than the working width, which matters when checking a gateway or transport route.

The crumbler changes the purchase

The specified approximate mass is 495 kg without a crumbler and 852 kg with it. That is a 357 kg difference, calculated from the manufacturer's figures, before considering where the added load sits. A quotation that omits the roller configuration is incomplete. Check the tractor's approved mounted load and transport arrangement for the actual assembly; do not approve the heavier version simply because the bare implement lifts.

Fieldking describes a shear-bolt arrangement and optional crumblers. Ask the supplier to identify the correct sacrificial bolt and its replacement procedure. Replacing it with an arbitrary stronger bolt can defeat its protective purpose. The optional crumbler is intended to break larger clods; its presence does not prove a particular seedbed quality in wet or hard soil.

Test the soil result before buying capacity

Define the restrictive layer or loosening job first. After a short trial with the tractor stopped and secured, inspect beneath the worked strip and between tine paths. Look for the intended soil disturbance rather than just surface marks. Ask a local agronomist whether the moisture condition and crop sequence justify ripping. If the job is only occasional, compare a contractor trial with ownership using the site's buy-or-hire cost guide.

Indian price reference

On 14 October 2026, TractorKarvan listed an indicative starting price of ₹88,973. This India-wide reference does not clearly establish the crumbler configuration, local delivery or tax basis. It is not a confirmed ex-showroom or on-road total. Obtain separate bare and equipped quotations with transport and tax itemised; do not assume the heavier package is included.

Our verdict: Fieldking FKR-5 Ripper

Verdict by the Aglist editorial desk

The FKR-5 suits a demonstrated need for wider soil loosening with a compatible tractor. The roller decision deserves as much attention as the power figure. Verify the agronomic result and the equipped transport load before paying for a configuration that your farm may not need.

Fieldking FKR-5 Ripper — What works / What to watch

What works

  • Five-tine working layout
  • Separate tractor recommendations for 4WD and 2WD
  • Manufacturer publishes masses with and without crumbler

What to watch

  • Crumbler substantially increases carried mass
  • Maximum depth is not proof of useful loosening
  • Starting price does not identify all supplied equipment

What farmers use it for

Best for: Farms with a justified wider ripping operation, a suitable tractor and a verified bare or crumbler-equipped load.

Fieldking FKR-5 Ripper — Frequently asked questions

Is the maximum depth 40 mm or 40 cm?

Fieldking’s own specification states 40 cm. The millimetre label on a price portal is not used here.

How much mass does the crumbler add?

The listed approximate masses are 495 kg without and 852 kg with the crumbler: a calculated difference of 357 kg. Check the complete mounted load and its position.

Does every 55 HP tractor match the recommendation?

No. The manufacturer distinguishes 55–60 HP for 4WD and 60–65 HP for 2WD. Hitch, transport and field pull also need verification.
