Eicher 551 Price October 2026

Eicher 551 is a 49 HP water-cooled model whose name needs to be written in full on the quotation. The base 551 is not the 551 Hydromatic, Super Plus or PRIMA G 3 package. Similar badges make it easy to compare a price from one version with equipment from another.

Identify the controls and clutch you are buying

The official base specification offers single or dual clutch with a side-shift, partial constant-mesh transmission. Ask which clutch is fitted and have its travel-drive and PTO operation explained using the supplied manual. A slash between two options is not a promise that both are included.

For repeat cultivation, select a working ratio with the dealer at the implement's required PTO setting. Do not use the headline transport speed to estimate field output. A comfortable lever position is worth trying with the intended operator, but it does not establish synchronisation of every shift.

PTO and hydraulic equipment are separate checks

Eicher lists 540 PTO rpm at 1944 engine rpm, with a 1788 engine-rpm option. Get the exact gearing and operating instructions in the order rather than treating the lower number as permission to improvise an economy mode. Multi-speed and reverse PTO are listed; their presence does not approve reverse operation of every attachment.

The 2100 kgf lift rating is stated with lower links horizontal. For a planter or sprayer, ask for approval of the fully loaded combination, not only the empty weight. If an attachment needs an external hydraulic service, confirm flow, connection and control requirements: the auxiliary pump with spool valve is optional in this specification.

Compare against the machine you already know

The Eicher 548 is a separate alternative already in our catalogue. Recheck its current quote rather than transferring warranty or implement claims from that page. For the 551, ask to see daily service access and obtain local parts and labour prices. Its water-cooled engine needs the prescribed cooling-system care; no fuel or annual maintenance saving is established by this specification sheet.

Indicative Indian price

TractorKarvan, checked on 3 October 2026, lists ₹6.90–7.64 lakh ex-showroom for the base Eicher 551. This is an indicative India-wide market range, not a manufacturer quotation, state-specific price or confirmed price for every option. Request the exact configuration and applicable registration, insurance, delivery and other charges separately in a local on-road quotation.
