The Solis 5515 E 2WD is a 55 HP, three-cylinder tractor with a model-specific 12-forward, 3-reverse specification. It is worth examining for buyers whose work needs a different PTO control package, not simply a larger number on an E Series bonnet.
Use the model table, not a generic range banner
The current specification table lists 12F+3R, double clutch and 540 rpm, reverse PTO and IPTO. Some shared promotional graphics describe other gear and lift arrangements. The figures here follow the 5515 model table; confirm the delivered specification rather than importing the 10F+5R package from a smaller model.
Demonstrate the PTO workflow
Ask the dealer to identify every control and show the approved engagement, stopping and restart procedures. IPTO is relevant when the job needs PTO control separate from travel, but the exact operating sequence must come from the supplied instructions. Reverse operation needs the attachment manufacturer's permission. Do not assume any implement that accepts 540 rpm can use reverse or every available mode.
Match the larger package to the attachment
The manufacturer describes a 2200 kg lift category and lists 7.50 x 16 front and 16.9 x 28 rear tyres. Neither item alone proves an implement is approved or that the tractor will pass through your access route. Check loaded weight, centre of gravity, hitch and ballast requirements with the supplier; measure the tractor-and-implement combination at the narrowest entrance.
Separate longer refuelling intervals from fuel economy
The 65-litre tank provides a different storage capacity from smaller E Series models. It does not establish hours per tank or diesel per acre.
