Begin with the equipment you already own

For a farmer moving from hired machinery to a small tractor, the first purchase decision is the complete working package. List the sprayer or small soil-working implement you intend to keep. Ask its maker to approve PTO input, hitch arrangement and the loaded combination before treating the tractor's engine rating as sufficient. A compact tractor cannot make a large existing attachment compatible simply by having driven front wheels.

Verify the narrow-machine claim in real units

Mahindra's web feature labels 36 inches as 91.4 mm, an inconsistent conversion. Do not copy that millimetre figure into a gate or row calculation. Compare an OJA 2124 only after the implement supplier identifies a need that the 2121 cannot meet. More engine power is not automatically more lift capacity or a better route fit. If the 2121 package completes your required task, request the incremental cost of the alternative rather than paying for an unspecified upgrade.

Include familiarisation and local support in the deal. Ask the operator to locate daily checks, understand the PTO shutdown sequence and confirm access to filters and service. Features pictured online may depend on the package; insist on a list of what the quoted machine actually includes.
