The ACE DI 450 NG 2WD is a 45 HP, three-cylinder tractor whose buying decision depends as much on selected equipment as on horsepower. ACE's Indian brochure lists a 2858 cc engine rated at 2000 rpm, but that does not establish fuel consumption or the size of cultivator it will pull in your soil.
Specify the lift package before comparing quotations
The published hydraulic rating is 1200 kg, with 1800 kg optional. Our main specification records the base figure. A quotation using the larger number should identify the supplied hydraulic package, rather than leaving the upgrade implied. Neither number is a universal permission to carry an implement of that weight: its centre of gravity, mounting and tractor ballast still matter.
Clutch and PTO details change the working routine
The brochure lists a dry dual clutch, with a single-clutch alternative. Standard PTO is 540 rpm with 6 splines; the optional 1000 rpm arrangement uses 21 splines. Do not buy an implement shaft on speed alone. Have the dealer demonstrate the supplied clutch procedure and confirm both the speed and connection required by your attachment. Compare the actual machine with the DI 550 NG
The 8-forward, 2-reverse gearbox gives a different reversing choice from ACE's larger 12-forward, 12-reverse models. Ask which working gear suits the intended operation, rather than treating gear count as productivity. The brochure describes mechanical steering with power steering optional and alternative brake equipment; those belong on the signed specification. The DI 550 NG is a separate 50 HP nameplate, not an upgraded badge to assume on this tractor.
Check access and maintenance support
ACE lists 1740 mm width and a 1960 mm wheelbase in this brochure. Check the delivered tyre and track setting at your entrance. The 55-litre tank is a capacity figure, not an all-day running promise. Ask the local workshop about filters, service appointments and the exact delivered configuration before committing to a seasonal work plan.
